Most expat tax software hides useful answers behind a paywall, so a question as basic as "should I use the FEIE or the FTC?" often means paying first. These tools are free and need no sign-up. They are educational estimates: the real filing, with the interactions between credits, treaties, pensions, and state tax, is work for a qualified preparer.
